Epakitin® is a nutritional supplement powder that helps support kidney function and slows down the progression of chronic kidney disease by using chitosan, a natural ingredient, which limits absorption of phosphorus from the intestines.

Managing phosphate has been shown to enhance renal function. Epakitin® is a chitosan, calcium carbonate, lactose and hydrolyzed soy protein based product. Chitosan is a natural polysaccharide extracted from crab and shrimp shells. Lactose and hydrolyzed soy provide protein and carbohydrates.

Directions for Use of Epakitin:

• 1g/5kg body weight given orally in the morning and the evening.
• One level spoonful (provided) contains 1 gram of Epakitin.
